THE ESME BOOK TOTE

85.00

This bag was handcrafted in the outer Atlas Mountains of North Africa in Morocco by Berber farming families. Each basket is woven by hand for hours from the leaves of the Date Palm. The palm leaf is known for being hard and strong-wearing, and these techniques have been used for generations to make traditional work baskets used for farming. The baskets vary in their weave and finish, making your #AmeCandy unique in it’s own way. Although like the other Moroccan baskets we stock on Ame Studio, the Esme is special in it’s weave. It takes double the time to make this than a regular handwoven basket and it’s sturdiness is relentless. More over, it is absolutely beautiful. Thats why we named it the Esme Book Tote.

The Esme Book Tote measures approximately 12 inches both ways. Note that the bags may differ slightly from the measurements due to the nature of how they are made.
